ALL TREATS NO TRICKS free Halloween event is 4-7 p.m. at the Lee County Fairgrounds, 1100 N. Main St., Donnellson, hosted by Lee County Crime Stoppers.

BENEFIT FOR SAM HOPEWELL to raise funds for expenses related to throat cancer diagnosis is 4-6 p.m. at Chavey’s Bar and Grill, 1500 Agency St. There will be children’s activities, silent auction, 50/50, raffles, a taco bar for $10 per person and a cash bar. CHESS CLUB invites everyone to learn or teach chess, or just play, 9 a.m., at Burlington Public Library, 210 Court St.

COLTON OVERTON, executive director, will play 10 historic funeral, Halloween, and spooky pieces on the historic Martin Bruhl piano at Des Moines County Heritage Center Museum, 501 N. Fourth St., 10 a.m.-noon. Use the main, Fourth Street entrance.

DONNELLSON FALL FRENZY will feature a Donnellson Library book sale, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.; Cruise-in, 9 a.m.2 p.m. on Main Street, Citywide Yard Sales and the All Treats No Tricks event.

HALLOWEEN BEES BOO BASH opens at 5:30 p.m. at Community Field, 2712 Mount Pleasant St. Admission is $1, and there will be a bounce house, playground, face painting, crafts, a costume contest, and screening of “Hotel Transylvania.”

OCTOBER MEAT FRENZY is 1-5 p.m. at Farney’s, 702 Jefferson St., and will raise funds for Wreaths Across America. Tickets for $1 buy a chance for one of 12-15 baskets with meat bundles. This is the first of the season.

THE WITCHES will be shown at 7 p.m. at The Capitol, 211 N. Third St.

TRACK OR TREAT at 34 Raceway, 10463 S. Prairie Grove Road, West Burlington, is 2 p.m.
