BOB ROSS FESTIVAL, “A Happy Little Festival” is noon-8 p.m. at the Art Center of Burlington, 301 Jefferson St., with lots of free activities, food and live music, carnival games for children and much more.

IOWA BARN TOUR is Sept. 14 and 15. This is a free, self-guided tour. Barns are open for touring 9 a.m.-5 p.m. both days. Local barns are included. Visit iowabarnfoundation.org  for a list.

SALUTE TO SERVICE is 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at Heartland Harley Davidson, with live music, food trucks, raffles and prize drawings, benefiting HANX that donates all net profits to trusted organizations that support military veterans and their families.

TOWN HALL LECTURE, “The Lost Parlor Organs of the Midwest and Concert,” is 11 a.m. in the Bart Howard Lounge, Des Moines County Heritage Center Museum, 501 N. Fourth St.
